WTNQ is proud of the music played on our airwaves. While a country station with the usual favorites (Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, etc.), we proudly step outside the lines of the genre now and then particularly during the morning and afternoon drive time.
Weekday mornings, Frank Scott plays not only current country hits but the classics as well. A typical hour can feature everything from Charley Pride to Kid Rock. Frank also likes to play deep album tracks, live versions and artists not normally heard on other country stations.
Monday through Thursday afternoons, Chuck Jacobs takes it a step further. Four hours of classic country, extended jams, alternative artists and a few good drinkin’ songs.
When Frank and Chuck aren’t on the air, WTNQ uses Dial Global’s True Country service which broadcasts country music with live jocks. It is a satellite-based service used by hundreds of stations across the country.
SATURDAY
The best in traditional and contemporary bluegrass airs every Saturday morning beginning at 7:00am on WTNQ’s “Soppin’ the Gravy”.
Four solid hours of bluegrass with limited commercial interruption hosted by our very own Chuck Jacobs.
